![]() I cant imagine anyone profiting anything off a song with "free sound " tagged throughout. Its not like it costs you money every copy you make of your mp3 file and they took one w/o paying. Tbh, If they werent going to pay anyways, your not really losing anything. If it says "Free Sound " over it, its not as likely that someone is going want that on any song they are serious about, imo. If its some hype tag that sounds cool like "Just Blaze.", its easier for them to just fit their vocals around it and kind of make it sound like its supposed to be there. At best he can get his name spread out with tags on the beats if his material is where it should be.ppl will rap on tags, but if its a real annoying tag they might not. Theres no such thing as protection on soundclick people will rap on tags and its easy to get the beats even if they aren't up for free download. You want it to sound out of place and unpleasant, and the tags from those converters will do it for free. ![]() ppl today will even steal beats and rap over tags because producers make their tags sound too good that it sounds like its just part of the song. Some of those free wav-mp3 audio converters have built in tags that they put on intended to piss you off and make you buy the full version of the software, but to a beatmaker that needs a tag, it actually works in your favor. It doesnt even have to be a custom tag, just put any vocal over it at random so ppl cant steal your beats. Plus you should tag them not to promote yourself, but to protect yourself. Only make different lesser beats available for free, so you force ppl to pay for the good ones. You should just adjust your pricing and dont offer the $20 beats for free or else no one is going to pay you for them. My guess is he was going to pay for it for commercial use, then noticed a loophole to get it for free. ![]() Right now it's more of getting out there than anything elseI see. I'm not putting tags on the beats yet, I figured once I'm more known I'll start doing that. 20 bucks is not the big deal, it's just that someone would go to so much trouble to scam that is just weird. But for any commercial use, it's 20 for a lease upto 2000 units. No signup required.I listed like many people do, the beat is free for promo use (ie, youtube, myspace videos). The free audio converter does not expire and includes most common audio file formats. A free version of Switch is available for non-commercial use. ![]()
